Privacy & Technical Transparency
How LocalVideoKit guarantees that your media files remain private on your device.
Zero Server Media Processing
We run no media servers or video conversion APIs. The application is delivered as static files to your browser, where processing executes entirely on client hardware.
Zero Network Calls During Processing
While a file is being inspected, edited, or converted, no outbound HTTP requests, WebSockets, or analytics beacons are dispatched. You can verify this yourself in your browser DevTools Network tab.
Immediate Ephemeral Cleanup
Once processing is finished or canceled, all memory buffers and temporary browser object references are immediately cleared. Your files are never written to IndexedDB, localStorage, or any other storage that would survive a page reload.
What Site Measurement Can and Cannot See
This site is delivered by Cloudflare, which handles ordinary page requests the same way any CDN does, and may run Cloudflare's cookie-free, non-fingerprinting Web Analytics to measure aggregate page views. Neither has anything to do with file processing: both only ever see that a page was requested, never your files, filenames, or anything generated once you start processing media — and neither runs or reports anything while a file is being processed.
Verify It Yourself
Disconnect your Wi-Fi or turn on Airplane mode after loading any tool page. Notice that file processing continues to function 100% offline.
